Background
Momo's life should've been ideal. He was a star soccer player, a good kid, fun-loving and kind, if a little too soft hearted and easy to sway. But he believed in his dreams. That is, until they ended, with a major injury during a soccer match. To cheer him up, Momo's sister took him to an idol concert by a group named Re:vale. Momo instantly fell in love with the duo, their music and aesthetic. Yuki and Banri, glorious and untouchable, turned Momo into a superfan.

Momo wrote passionate fan letters to the duo, and attended concerts as often as he could. At a fateful event, men who were disgruntled with Yuki attacked the duo on stage, and Momo came up to defend them. It started a long-lasting friendship... or what would have been one if Banri hadn't been injured in a freak stage accident and disappeared.

Yuki fell into a sort of fugue, almost quitting music, and it took a month of Momo's begging and cajoling, offering to be Yuki's partner for only five years, for Re:vale to be born again, this time as Yuki and Momo. They rebuilt Re:vale from nothing, with Yuki writing their songs and Momo working his best to pave a future for them in the industry. After a series of small and large breaks, Re:vale debuted together, as major artists.

Five years later, and Re:vale was one of the best selling acts in Japan, top idols with multiple awards to their name. They weathered Momo's crushing anxiety and attempted sabotage by parties who wanted their partnership and dominance to end. Through it all, through disagreements and careless words, misunderstandings and affectionate ridiculousness, Re:vale became the tempered leaders of the idol industry.

Personality
Momo seems simple, at first glance. He's carefree on the surface, always smiling, laughing, shooting a quick joke about his beloved partner or juniors. He's quick on his feet, witty and clever when it comes to hosting shows and showing off with his beloved partner, Yuki. But underneath that, Momo hides a mess of anxiety, uncertainty, and darker habits. He's bright on screen, keeping his idol persona at the front as often as he can. Momo will often cover up even negative thoughts and opinions with a cheery delivery of his words, or will steer around problematic things when he can. His carefully cultivated persona is that of the clown, true to the Momo he wants to be, more than true to the man he is.

His inner thoughts are anxious, filled with dread that Yuki might leave him for the vast majority of canon, filled with concern that his actions in the darker parts of showbusiness will haunt his partner instead of just himself. Momo even at one point has an anxiety nightmare about Banri dying, and it being his own fault, then blames himself as though he truly feels Banri should die. There's the tiniest touch of jealousy once Yuki and Banri reunite, but he manages to keep up the joyous, silly face more often than not.

He delves into dark dealings in his work, where his on-camera persona seems pure. Momo made a name for himself and Re:vale by making all kinds of connections, both good and bad, over the years. And even now, he's trying to start his own information network in the entertainment industry to counter the antagonism of one Tsukumo Ryou.

Yes, but with a caveat. Depending on the situation, Momo might not be willing to do sex work, but given sufficient reason to do it (i.e. for someone he cares about/their well being) Momo will do some really, really outrageous shit. Prostitution simply as an institution is probably a no.
